Principal Dentist
Brisbane Roots
Billy was born in Seoul, and his family made Brisbane home in 1991. He attended Brisbane Boys' College before studying dentistry at the University of Queensland, graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Science in 2003. Billy speaks both English and Korean, and many Korean-speaking patients appreciate being able to discuss their care in their first language.
After graduating, Billy provided dental care in practices throughout the Brisbane area. Over time, he wanted to create a practice of his own, one where patients could expect the same unhurried, transparent approach at every visit. That vision became Precision Dental.
His Approach to Dentistry
With more than two decades in practice, Billy provides a broad range of general and cosmetic dentistry. Billy places great importance on explaining what is happening and why. He prefers to show rather than tell, using intra-oral photographs and digital imaging to help you see what he sees, then walking you through each option, including its benefits, limitations and costs, so you can make an informed choice.
Billy also has a strong interest in treating patients who feel anxious about dental visits. He believes that a calm environment, gentle technique and a willingness to pause whenever you need make a meaningful difference.
Continuing Education
Dentistry continues to evolve, and Billy is committed to evolving with it. He regularly attends national and international postgraduate lectures and seminars to refine his clinical skills and stay informed about new techniques and technology, including digital dentistry, CEREC restorations and dental implants.
Professional Memberships
Billy is registered with the Dental Board of Australia and is a member of:
- The Australian Dental Association
- The Australian Society of Implant Dentistry
Outside the Practice
When he is away from the dental chair, Billy enjoys cycling and spending time with his family and friends.
