What Accreditation Means for You
Precision Dental is an accredited dental practice. Accreditation is an independent evaluation process in which a practice demonstrates that it meets defined standards for safety and quality of care.
To achieve accreditation, our practice submitted evidence of compliance with the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and was assessed by an independent accrediting agency.
The Standards We Meet
The National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards were developed by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care. For dental practices, they cover areas such as:
- Clinical governance and quality improvement
- Partnering with patients in their own care
- Infection prevention and control
- Medication safety
- Communicating for safety, including correct patient identification
- Recognising and responding to acute deterioration
